Moscow Computer Software scam they say you need anti virus immediately. Russia

As I was on the internet a warning came up saying that a "virus was threatening and was going to disable my machine if I did not update my virus package with this anti virus software that looked like Microsoft.

My computer would not let me sign on and kept popping up. I paid 49.95 and it traded in Moscow on my M/C at $ 64.00. I tried to print the received money report - I Could not. Tried to send to my work emal - I could not - it would just not move it went into cyberspace. My sister said it's a scam.

I believe it attaches itself to your anti virus program you already have though.

I paid in December and I was on again last night January and it tired to get me again. That is when I did this research.
