Hidden Negative Option, hidden charges for services not fulfilled

Nov. 30 I signed up online for a FREE Google Money Tree Work From Home Kit (http://www.googlemoneytree.com/). At 6pm PST, I was contacted via phone by a customer service representative named Antoinette Duncan ID#1552 re: my Google Money Pro subscription. She explained that they will ship the kit on Dec. 1 & I will be charged $3.88 only for the S&H.

I am also automatically signed up for a FREE 7 day membership trial to fully access their website (http://www.internetincomeinitiative.com/) which begins AFTER I receive an email containing my Account Log-in info within 24 hrs of our conversation. After the trial, they will charge me a monthly subscription of $72.21 (which was conveniently masked out during the Free Kit subscription on the website).

I did not receive ANY email from them. Dec 3, I emailed customer support for my log-in information but no response.

Dec. 5, I called customer service (1-888-657-8585) at 5pm PST but unfortunately, their service is open only Mon-Fri, 9am 5pm CST (although Ms. Duncan called me on a Sunday at 6pm PST). I UNSUBSCRIBED through the website which displayed this message after: You have successfully unsubscribed from this offer. Please be aware, your name removal request may take up to 10 business days to process request.

I researched the internet about this company and what I found were a lot of the same complaints. And here at usacomplaints.com.

Dec. 8, Mon 7:30am PST, I called to cancel my subscription stating that I haven't received the Kit and the email with my log-in information. The representative didn't give any explanation or excuse why I haven't received the kit & any email but simply went ahead and canceled my subscription. (it seemed like she doesn't really expect me to receive anything anyway). She reassured me that my debit card will NOT be charged with any monthly payments. On the same day, however, I was still charged with $72.21.

Dec 11, I called Customer Service again (Jenny) again to ask about the debit card charge. Jenny said Dec. 8 was already my 8th day of FREE trial, which was absurd because I never received my account log-in information and was never able to log-in the website to TRY it. I explained it to her and asked for a refund but she said she couldn't help me because they are a 3rd party customer service and they can't do anything about the Merchant's policies.
