Rip-off The business that doesnt give a damn

After ordering a book from Amazon I received notice from my bank that the order had gone on an old check card of mine. There is disagreement about responsibility for this screwup but it is beside the point.

After receiving the notice I contacted Amazon in order to change how I was paying for the book, considering that at the time the book was shown as still in their ware house and ont scheduled to arrive to me for nearly three weeks I figured this wouldn't be a problem. No this was not possible!!! I would have to wait and receive the order and then mail it back to them to change the payment. What about my bank's overdraft charges?

Oh well, I was told that Amazon is just not able do anything until they have sent me the book, I have sent it back and they have received it again a roundtrip totaling nearly 4 weeks. This was not a malicious ripoff but I can not imagine being treated more callously.
