I was invited to perform data-entry work for KeyForCash. According to KeyForCash, "The pay cycle is every week. We will mail you a check as long you have $50.00 or more in your account. Sometimes, when there is not much work available, we may lower the minimum." As of October 10th, I had $67.20 in my account.By the end of that business day, my account was zeroed and a check was purportedly mailed out to me. It is now October 24th, and I have yet to receive a check. All my attempts to contact them have resulted in no reply. As of the current moment, I am at a lost at how to proceed.
I researched the matter and discovered other consumers suffering the same fate. Some complained to receive their check 'very late', whereas others never received a check at all. It appears that KeyForCash may be the business of only paying some contractors so that those who are scammed cannot legitimately complain that KeyForCash never pays.
I am hoping to discover an answer to this dilemma. At the very least, I hope that KeyForCash learns to treat its 'contractors' correct by keeping them informed. If a check will be late, it is their responsibility to inform the contractor. It is unfair for contractors to sit idly by waiting for payment. Especially during such economic hardship, this unfair and unethical business behavior cannot continue.
