Internet & Web

Since ordering from phonydiploma.com, I have seen other warnings on this site about phonydiploma.com being an FBI site, so I thought I would post my own story and experience with phonydiploma.com.

A month after ordering a novelty diploma from phonydiploma.com, my wife came running into our living room telling me that there was an FBI agent at our front door. At first, I was just as stunned and curious as she was because I have no idea why the FBI would be paying us a visit. After going to the door, and showing me his ID, I began speaking with the FBI agent and was informed that they had received a "tip" about suspicious behavior and just wanted to follow up and ask me a few questions.

After reluctantly agreeing and allowing the agent to record our conversation on a handheld voice recorder, the agent began to asked a handful of questions about myself and for what reason I may have to purchase "false identification documents" on line. I quickly realized exactly what he was referring to and informed him that I had recently bought a novelty diploma on line from phonydiploma.com, but I was only using it to hang in my living room as decoration. We went back and forth for about 15 minutes and it took quite a bit to convince him that I was telling the truth and wasn't a terrorist. During that time, I had also noticed that he had what looked like copies of my emails I had sent to phonydiploma.com on a clipboard he was carrying with him. After taking my full contact information, place of employment, home and work numbers, and verifying my address and what hours I worked, the agent said he would let me know if there was anything else he needed and walked back to his car with out giving me much of a chance to ask any questions of my own.

After the agent left and I found other posts online from phonydiploma customers that have had similar experiences or have even been fired from their jobs, it began to make more and more sense that if phonydiploma.com wasn't actually an FBI web site, they had at least given my information to the FBI for some reason.

I found this pretty interesting considering all I did was buy a novelty diploma on the internet from a website that advertises "novelty diplomas" and insists it is completely legal. Dont these people have anything better to do?

The university of North carolina diploma I ordered by the way, I might as well have made myself. It looks nothing like the real diploma my brother has, which again makes me ask what the big deal is.

I had actually emailed and called phonydiploma a couples times after getting the fake diploma I had order from them in the mail to complain, and the one time I was actually able to speak to anyone all they did was refer to their terms and tell me what they can't do.

Anyway. That is my story. The moral of the story is do not call, email, or buy anything from phonydiploma.com or any of the other web sites this company runs. They are nothing but trouble.
