Promotion For High Speed Internet AT&T makes it impossible to recieve advertised $50 reward for new high speed internet service

I am very unhappy with AT&T's honesty and integrity concerning a $50 AT&T High Speed Internet Bonus Reward (F7CLZ).

I signed up for new high speed Internet during the promotion period and after six weeks called to find out why I had not received the reward. At that time I was told that in order to get the reward I had to call the reward department and ask for it. So I called the reward department and they said I qualified and it would take another four to six weeks for me to receive it in the mail. Four weeks later I received a notice that I did not qualify for the award.

The first customer service representative that I talked to about this new matter was from the reward center, she said that the system showed that I had discontinued service and that in order to fix the mistake that I would have to call a separate customer service number for billing and have them initiate a three way call back to the reward center. The first time I attempted this was on a Saturday during the mourning hours. At that time the three-way call could not be made because the reward center was closed. The second time I attempted this the customer service representative said that she could not make this three way call, it was not the policy. After I insisted that something was done she spoke to her supervisor and said that a new reward request would be put in the mail for me right away and that I could make a new request. I have not received it and this was over two weeks ago.

All together I made a total of six successful phone calls to various customer service departments just to attempt to get what was advertised. I say successful calls because there were also times I tried to call, but was on hold for over ten minutes just to talk with someone, and I did not have that much time so I had to hang up. The $50 AT&T High Speed Internet Bonus Reward that was advertised is clearly set up to be extremely difficult to obtain. I am very unhappy with AT&T's honesty and integrity as a company.
