Would not replace defective $24 mouse! Kennesaw

On 8-1-08 I spent about $1,500 in this store on computer and camera equipment. I went to Canada on business for two weeks and found out while I was out of town that the $24 mouse I bought was defective. I was not able to get to the store with the problem until 9-10-08 which was 10 days after the store limit for returns. The clerk seemed to be thrilled to tell me that I was too late to get either get a refund or a replacement and kept smiling like in idiot. I asked to see the manger and she went to get this guy Michael. He proceeded to tell me the same thing. When I asked what I was supposed to do he told me to take it up with the manufacturer. I told him that I did not buy this thing from the manufacturer so please tell me what I need to do. He would not give me a straight answer and proceeded to aggravate the situation and got very abrasive with me. He made me rather furious and if I did not have to take my wife to a college class I would have insisted on seeing someone higher up than him. But then again I am sure they would all follow the party line and just give me evasive information. I told Michael loud enough that every customer within 300 feet could here me say that I will never buy anything from Circuit City again. If the guy had any customer service skill at all he could have recited the 30 day store policy and then properly assited me in filing a claim with the manufacturer. It is very clear to me that this company does not care about lossing customers. From now on its Best Buy!
