Credit Card Fraud Illegal Activities Potentially Foreigners

Over the past year or so I have made several purchases with an online game money company called GameIM. These people take your real world money and exchange it into video game money. At first, everything seemed legitimate, with the exception of breaking the terms of service for the games I played. Yet my last purchase with them, I decided to buy L$ in Second Life. Second Life reported immediately that there was a fraudulent credit card used in the acquisition of the money that the GameIM company gave to me in their virtual world.

The seller that you have made your purchase from has delivered you stolen L$. The original purchase was made through us with the buyer using a stolen credit card, and they then turn and sell the L$ to you. Unfortunately, when these issues arise, it is our policy to assess the stolen L$ from the residents who have made these purchases.

When residents are victims of purchasing stolen L$, we strongly encourage them to seek out all available fraud channels provided by their financial institutions.

I have assessed the $5,500L from your account and have removed the hold as well. We understand that you are a victim and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
