The Park Hill Consumer Research Center
Ripped off and lied to

Internet & Web

Okay, so I get this letter in the mail, and its says they want me to be a mystery shopper along with a check that totals 4500.00. So I do everything the paper tells me to do, but the money never went through in the bank. I am a single mom trying to make some good money to support and take care of my daughter, and then you get crappy people like this who want to scam you. So anyways, the letter told me to spend $100 at Walmart and whatever I spend would be like a bonus and I can keep it. $400 for my salary then the other $4000 would go to a moneygram location. I even faxed references to them.

Thank goodness I waited to see if the check was even going to clear in the bank before I took any money out or spent money that I didnt have to spend. Its just very disappointing. It sounded like such a great opportunity at the time.

A very realistic looking check for $3,977.29 arrives in the mail with instructions of how you are to spend it as a mystery shopper. A Texas address with a Canadian postmark is very suspicous!
