So I researched online for the best price on a home use weight scale. I found this "company" on a google search and felt like it was a safe bet. I placed the order and payed via paypal.

I did notice that the shipping was done a little differently than most places because they get their scales directly from the manufacturers so that they can sell them at a wholesale cost. I didn't mind the possible 2 week shipping aspect as I was not in a terrible hurry to get the product.

Around the 2 week period, I returned to the website to check the status of the order and it showed as "item not yet shipped." I emailed for an order status and recieved a fairly prompt response that the item was currently on backorder from the manufacturer. I was advised to try back in a couple of weeks for a status. I was fine with that at first.

Now, around the 3-4 week period I was starting to feel uneasy about the whole thing. This time I decided to call the company instead. I had to call periodically throughout the day to try and reach someone. Finally I was able to speak with someone and when I inquired about the order the "gentleman" asked "didn't you get my email?" I explained that I did, but according to the email I should try back in a couple of weeks.

Somewhat irritated at this point, I asked if it were possible to cancel the order and recieve a refund. The man told me he would have to consult with his partner to see if they had the available funds to do that (note this is a $76 transaction). I said okay to that. He then told me to expect an email with a response to my request.

Another 3 -4 weeks go by and I have still never heard anything. So I emailed a couple of times and called several times but with no response. Unfortunately paypal doesn't offer a dispute function if it is more than 30 days after the initial transaction, so I am left out completely by now.

So now it has been 4 and a half months and I still have no product and no response from this company. Luckily my bank allowed me to dispute the charge and are now investigating the whole situation.

To top it off, I was able to purchase the exact same scale (for $20 less) and recieved it in two days from another vendor. I find it funny that they tried to tell me that the product was unavailable. If that is true, why do I have one now? It's not because scaleshack.com sent me one, that is for sure!

Do not buy from these people. They are a fly-by-night operation and they will steal your money.
