Runs transactions on expired cards

I opened an account over two years ago with this company. After less than a year I ended up moving my account to another provider. I apparently didn't make clear enough to STARTLOGIC that I no longer wanted their service. I'll take the blame for that.

However, more than 2 years later, I get a transaction for just over $140 on my paypal account from a card that has been expired for about 6 months. Paypal goes so far as to remove the monies directly from my personal checking account!!!

I report it to paypal, who tell me that I had to file an affidavit. I filed the affidavit, explained that the transaction was on an expired card and it should have been denied. I received my funds back.

Then STARTLOGIC challenged the chargeback. Paypal determined that it was a legitimate charge, ignoring all the dates involved and that I had moved my account well over a year ago and never updated the information.

Paypal then again removed the money from my account and paid STARTLOGIC again!

NOW StartLOGIC is claiming they gave the money back in the chargeback once and now there is nothing they can do. They have my money for the renewal which I didn't want and I have what... A closed web account and a deficit in my bank account.

I swear I thought it was illegal for a card company to approve an transaction on a card that had been expired for months.

Apparently not when it comes to PAYPAL and STARTLOGIC.

Anything to keep their balance sheets healthy. Even stealing.
