Maritalaffair
Co. Uk After a short subscription to the site this is clearly a con! Internet

Internet & Web

I took out a 1 month sub to the site and the evidence is in my opinion pretty conclusive that this site is running a scam. I am sure there are some genuine female subscribers but in general, as a male subscriber you will find the following. (It would be interesting to hear a female subscriber's experience) -

1. You may notice this before paying for a sub but I didn't spot it! When you log on to the site you are presented with a list of 'Recommended' subscribers (you may even receive an email later on). However, the site will flag to you many people who have not visited the site in over a month - clearly they are not 'active'. After 2 weeks of my sub an option appeared in the 'search' facility to only show people who had logged on in the last 24hrs. But the site is clearly implying that there are a lot more people on there who are 'active' than there actually is. Other sites (adultfriendfinder for example) make it much clearer who is actually 'active'. Also, I noticed in a site by the same company at least one user account with the same name and pic but who had logged on recently - this implied user accounts, perhaps genuine people at some point, are being used by the site admin or agents to drum up more business.

2. I experienced the same as other users on this and similar sites where I started receiving emails from people who initially seemed genuine BUT when I provided my own email address as a contact never got 1 email - you may think 'fair enough, they don't want to give you their email address' - but the emails became very explicit as in 'I really want to meet you, and this is what I want to do with you'. The users would never even comment on my supplying an address - this is rubbish. I just issued a standard response to these 'users' saying, 'That sounds great, email me at xxx and we'll chat some more' at which point the user ceased emailing altogether! Hmmm... There was also a marked increase in the explicitness of the emails in the last week of my sub - some of these appeared to be written by a completely different person than the one who had emailed me before.

If this was a 'normal' dating site rather than an adult one then Watchdog or whoever would probably be all over them but the users won't complain I guess. Anyway, I would STRONGLY advise joining this site - if you do be wary of the above and don't get suckered into renewing your membership!

PS I still get mails from some 'users on the site' but are they real people? Well, I'm not paying to find out!:)
