Intuit - Quickbooks
Bad mouths Costco

Internet & Web

Upon contacting Quickbooks support regarding information to update my 2004 version to 2008 - I was asked for my credit card information before I was given a price for the upgrade. I had to ask for the price.

A rep then called me back later for my credit card again - I informed the rep that I found exactly the upgrade that he wanted to charge me $535 for at the Costco for $355. I asked why there was a discrepancy for the same product. The rep informed me that retail locations sell 'bad' licenses - when I asked for clarification in that was he telling me that Costco sells fraudulent licenses and fraudulent versions of quickbooks he responded by saying the only way to get a real license was through Intuit.
