I came accross a site that had I file I misplaced and I was hoping to find the file. I figured if I can pay $3 for it I would even pay a little extra for the file. I signed up for the site and they sent me a confirmation and I used it to gain access to the site. I went to the site and it appears to be a peer to peer site for music and videos so I never used the site and I was not aware of the extra charges.
I read the disclaimer and it did not state anything about monthly charges. I noticed about a month later a charge on my account and I could not figure out where it came from. I called the bank and they said they were not sure. I noticed it came from billinghlp.com so I went there and tried to see what it was. It asked for a credit card number and e-mail address.
After a few attempts to guess what I could have used I struck gold and it pulled up. It showed they had billed me twice for $30 and it was billed to blazingebooks.com, which I had never heard of until I did a google search and pulled up this site. While reading further into this other persons claim they said they signed up for directfileaccess.com as well. That is when it hit me. I have been scammed. On the direct billing site it gives you the option to cancel, and I did that, so I am going to see if it happens again.
