Target Point Media
Tom Rogers Completely worthless and deceptive guarantees. Performance NIL. Trickery and manipulation!

Internet & Web

This letter is a result of two months of relentless frustration. I consider myself a bright person, and a good judge of character.in seeking out the best possible value in an email campaign, I hired Target Point to create and deploy a supposed targeted email blast. I had evaluated multiple firms with what I felt was a cautious scrutiny in order to select the one that would give me the best bang for my buck. The salesman was friendly and quick to offer that he worked for several competing firms and that they of course were all conmen, and that this was clearly the best deal around.

The gimmick guarantee that got me was 15,000 clicks for $1,500 which sounded terriffic! To me, this meant that 15,000 PEOPLE were responding to a relevant subject line, and then subsequently taking the next step of wanting to learn more about my company after viewing an ad. Ironically, I needed only one or two inquiries to consider the campaign to be money well spent, but of course hoped for more. I knew that promise of 600 responses was unrealistic, but because of the guaranteed traffic, I went for this deal.

What happened next is disturbing, and even putting this into words now has my blood boiling. First off, the minute that I paid there was no longer any interest in hearing from me. The design work is comparable to what my 4th grader could produce in microsoft word, and was completely unacceptable.in order to prevent publishing it, I paid a graphic designer to build an html ad and provided target point with that ad.

I continued to be optimistic and patient, figuring that their obvious strengths must be list quality and qualified traffic. I had trouble even learning when the blast was to go out. My emails were not being returned and my calls unanswered. Finally I was told that I had almst 10,000 clicks, and you guessed it not one response. I asked for the owner and after a few calls Tom Rogers did eventually take my call.

What a joke. Not even a breath of kindness, appreciation or any explaination. When I questioned how his services had offered me zero value, he was quick to say that he does not send the emails to a group in India for them to click on, and how he does not have a computer generated program that simulates clicks. I was without words, as I quickly realized that not only was there no desire from the owner of this company to speak with me and make things right, or even to discuss how to change or improve for a future campaign. But it had become painfully obvious that Tom knew that he had no ability to do anything differently, or better.

I purposely did not name the sales rep, as he is a nice man and has a child to feed. I would strongly caution anyone from even considering target point media if they have any need for "real traffic", or expect any level of customer service. If you have money to flush down the toilet, buy into the guarantee.
