Joenerd.com Joe Nerd Joenerd Scam company does not pay technicians for work. Ripped off!

WARNING: joenerd.com does NOT pay their techs!

I am a technician and I was contacted by a company called Joe Nerd - www.joenerd.com, supposedly based out of Florida - to fix a touchscreen POS (Point of Sale; like a cash register/computer) at a Chipotle Grill near in Iowa City, IA, a neighboring city.

I originally responded to an ad on craigslist by this company, which is how they got my email address.

Joe nerd gave me no instructions on how to go about fixing this equipment, and had no knowledge of the equipment I was to repair, they just told me to go fix it. We had agreed upon a flat rate per call, and I ended up having to drive to Iowa City and back, to UPS to ship parts back, and spend time scanning the work orders and emailing them 5 different days.

I went to the store, installed the new part in the POS and it didn't work. I was contacted again to go down the next day. Part after part was sent and none worked until finally a new unit was sent out and I swapped the hard drives from old to new and I got the unit repaired.

After emailing joenerd several times about payment and getting either no response or not getting my questions answered fully I searched the internet and found a blog that had some other techs dissatisfied with joenerd and began to worry that I had just got scammed and wasn't going to be paid for my work. You can even see their CEO's comments on that blog, saying that he won't pay me for the work I already completed for them because he didn't like my comments about his "company".

I did the work for this company, and have not been paid. JoeNerd.com has been paid for the work I did, and I get nothing in return. I wasted my money and time working for them! I feel awful I got ripped off, I hope nobody else does! They are a scam. Do not do business with this company. Avoid joe nerd like the plague.
