"Free" Book: Natural Causes They Don't Want You to Know About

I heard about these companies when I ordered a "free" book advertised on a local radio station; turns out the "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About" by Kevin Trudeau has s/h charges of 9.95 (about 1/2 the cost of the book). When I called the number from the ad, they also suggested subscribing to American Leisure and EZ Saver for 30 days for the nominal fee of $1.00 each; the bonuses promised were gift cards, etc.

After three weeks the only thing that arrived was the book; NO gift cards and NO information about either of these two services. Nothing about their services was sent to my email account. I contacted my credit card company and got the contact information and had the charges removed from my account. Now I will have to crawl over each and every purchase charged to make sure they aren't using my account under some other company name.

Yes, you can reach them at: 1-877-564-8538 (Amer Leisure) and 1-800-262-6199 (EZ Saver) and enter your phone number and an automated response will give you the cancellation number; BUT you'll never speak to a live person (which is why I also called the credit card company).

Now I'm going to contact the radio station and let them know what a rip-off the "FREE book" deal truly is.

Wanted to let you all know that you CAN do something about these horrible people, it just takes a few phone calls and persistance. I've learned the lesson and won't be taken in again.
