IDPROCS debited the $31.98 from my bank account. I contacted them immediately to see if the issue could be resolved, but I was met with attitude, poor service and the runaround.

So, I called my bank and told them that the debit was never authorized. They took the report right over the phone and said they would reverse the charge. The money was back in my account in 24 hours. Perhaps my situation is unique, but it was nice to know that that they were looking out for me.

Anytime an ACH comes through your bank account that was unauthorized, you can dispute it under Regulation E, which governs Electronic Funds Transfers, provided you do so within 60 days of the transaction posting to your account. Pay attention to your bank statements, and be even more careful with who you give your banking information to.
