Cancels auctions for power seller so they cannot get negative feedback or have incentive to fulfill commitments

I purchased a pair of sandals on ebay from a power seller on April 3. Seller created shipping label April 8th but never sent. On about April 18th the auction was canceled not ended but removed. Since that time the seller has never communicated with me again! Myebay has no record of this transaction, I cannot leave feedback and she has sent no refund or sandals! Now EBAY phone reps have the nerve to tell me they are protecting me from negative feedback from her. I told them I did not care I would let my feedback speak for itself but no they must PROTECT ME!!! I told them if buyers are prevented from leaving feedback at ebay's whim, feedback was meaningless anyway - they pretended not to comprehend that. They have privacy rules where they can tell me nothing but one rep said they rehabilitate the bad sellers and Ebay is about trust. How crazy is that!

I have spent over 8 hours on this transaction with no satisfaction, but did finally get to file a dispute after much todo at paypal. The paypal website refused my attempt to file dispute even though it had been long past 10 days closer to 20 days since I paid. It said - transaction not complete. Well how stupid is that?! If a transaction has to be complete then I guess I will never be able to file a dispute. What does complete mean? According to ebay there was no transaction at all, they waved their magic wand and voila everything on the transaction is gone including my money. Finally one of the paypal phone reps took pity on me and it was filed. I bet I'll be waiting on that April 8th priority label coming from Virginia to Tennessee forever now that EBAY canceled the auction. I have never heard from the seller since - she was communicating before that but her stories were not believable and probably designed to keep me hopeful. Now of course she has no reason to refund or to ship because I cannot leave her feedback and she is still registered at ebay as a power seller. She's got my money and the sandals if in fact she ever had any sandals.

Will post if and when I get any satisfaction or anymore headaches with EBAY.

I advise against using ebay feedback as any determination of reliability of power sellers.
