Buyer Beware

I purchased a used 1996 beretta off of jeff and michelle bidoul 4/12 from an ad they had placed on craigslist for 1400 cash. Her ad stated, " i will garuntee this is a very reliable car." I couldnt plate or insure the vehicle at time of purchase as the secretary of state was closed. I did get those things taken care of on the following Monday. On 4/17 my daughter took the car to run a few errands. She called me and said the car had died. We had it towed to a garage and was informed that the motor had seized. We contacted the individuals and informed them of what had happened. They said pretty much that its our problem now. I even asked them if they could go half on repairs. They said no. Now, they're avoiding our calls.
