RESERVATION REWARDS - Shopper Discounts & Rewards
Unauthorized charge $12.00 to creditcard, I signed up for a 10$ off coupon off what I thought was Amazon site

This is diabolical. I was scammed just like the other people on this site describe, and I thought I was smarter than that. Ouch. I made a bunch of purchases from amazon.com in December, and was offered the 10$ off coupon, which I happily used, thinking it was from the amazon site.

I received 2 emails on Jan 29 one from customerservice@reservationrewards.com
and one from customerservice@shopperdiscountsandrewards.com.
I plugged the phrase Reservation Rewards into google, and found this usacomplaints.com site, and I'm glad that I did. After reading what happened to others, I checked my credit card statement just now and discovered on January 29 an unauthorized charge of 12$ was placed on my credit card with the description: Reservation Rewards, 800-7327031 CT.

Oh man, I just called the 800 732 7031 customer service number for these people, and spoke with Marsola who was very polite. He gave me a spiel about how much I could save with my membership. He said their company tried to make it clear what it meant to sign up with them. He advised he would cancel my "membership" and then asked what else he could do to help, and I said yes, take the charge OFF of my credit card. He said he would do that and I should see the credit in 3-5 days. Then he said do you want me to cancel your membership to Shopper Discounts and Awards, as well? I said yes, and he said he would take the 12$ charge off of my credit card for that one too! (I didn't notice that charge before - it has a different 800 number: Description: Shopper Discounts, 800-8898776 CT). He asked me again how he could help me, and I said that if his company had made it clear from the beginning that they were going to charge 24$ a month on my credit card, just for signing up for a 10$ coupon, and then I would not have signed up in the first place! He apologized for any inconvience. Easy apology, since they are making so much money off so many unsuspecting people - they won't miss my 24$ a month - if they really credit the charges.

I will call my credit union tomorrow during business hours, and make sure those charges come off or are stopped. I'm not trusting Reservation Rewards to take care of it.
