Fraudulant Use of and inappropriate charge to Credit Card

Do not know how they got my credit card number but I had joined a temporary membership with an online adult site. When I came to my senses and realized that it was a ripoff to begin with, I immediately processed a cancel authorization and it seems as if the site I enrolled in accepted it with no problems. However, I have no idea where this other site comes in.
I saw no mention of their name on any information I have nor on any information in the paperwork from the cancellation.
Fortunately, I contacted my credit card about something entirely different and just happened to discover that this was a problem that the fraud division was looking into. I was asked about the two charges and I recognized the one, the one that accepted the cancellation, however, I had no idea who this other company was. I contacted the company that was apparently the administrator for all the websites involved with this area to see if they had an idea who this company was but they were not familiar with them either.
They referred me to your site and that is where I discovered the company's name and their apparent scam in fraudulantly charging fees to credit cards without permission. It seems as if this is routine for them, but it still does not answer the question of how they obtained my credit card information. The amount of the bill is only $38.91 but it is more the principle of the matter than anything else.
I have instituted a rebuttal to the charge with my credit card company and feel that the company will more than likely not receive any funds from this transaction to begin with. But, I feel compelled to identify them and to add my voice to the mix to let consumers know that there are unscrupulous dealers out there who do these type of things on a routine basis.
Hopefully this can provide additional data to put this company out of business. Maybe so, maybe not, but I will do what I can to assist.
