Western Union / Craigslist / Pitter Bush
Western Union, Craigslist, Pitter Bush Craigslist scam! Item promised but not delivered! Sold by "Pitter Bush" Western Union is treating me like the criminal!

I found what I thought was an awesome present for my husband on craigslist.com. The item for sale was a 2005 CBR 600 bike. I corrosponded with the sender, I decided to make the purchase.

I was given the directions to send the money through Western Union and that the purchase was guarenteed through buySAFE which is a consumer protection agency. Though this company is real, the person representing them was not from buySAFE. I received an e-mail telling me to send the receipt to "buySAFE" and that they would not give the sender the information to pick up the money until I received the product.

I sent the money and never received anything. I soon found out that that it was an elaborate scam and that this person has done this many times before. So my question is why does craigslist allow this person to continue to post on their site of they have fraud reports against them already?

Also, when I tried to talk to someone at Western Union, they said that I can not get any information on the person who picked up the money becasue I had made a fraud report. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE??? I was scammed, so treat me like a criminal? Also Western Union stated that anyone who has a conformation number of a money transfer can pick up the money. So everyone, even if you pick up the receipt in a parking lot, YOU CAN GET SOMEONE ELSE'S MONEY!!! Does that make sense??? Now I am out of $2700, don't let this happen to you!
