Web Design Scam! Fraud Theft Non Delivery Phillipines

I also ordered a web design from this company, was shown samples of various sites in their portfolio and chose the type of design I wanted and gave them a list of the links I needed adding in the menu and a suggested theme and color scheme. The owner who uses the name IRrabbit on Yahoo instant messenger then asked me to pay $150 for my design and promised it would be ready by Saturday which was 4 days time from ordering.

I must admit that I wasn't comfortable with sending money up front for a web design but I needed the job done and he insisted that everything would be ok so I finally sent him the money using egold as the payment processor at his request.

Anyway, 4 days go by and I ask him how the design is progressing and he tells me he is busy with another job and it will have to wait until next week. I message him the following week and he ignores all my messages even though I can see him logging on and offline. I also tried contacting him via the contact form on their website and never received a single response to 7 different emails that I sent asking for either the work I paid for to be completed or a refund of my hard earned money. $150 is a lot of money to me and I can ill afford to lose that much money, I know $150 is a trifling sum to many people but it is a small fortune to me as I can no longer work due to invalidity and had to spend the last of my savings trying to setup my own online business. Alas my few savings are now exhausted and I cannot run my own web based business because of this individual.

I wrote to egold about this but egold inform me that they do not issue refunds regardless of whether or not a vendor delivers goods you have paid them for or not. I am at a complete loss as to what to do now but I would like to make everyone who considers this company for web design to steer well clear of them or at the very least to not pay until they do the work!

I strongly advise anyone who is looking for web design to find a reputable company and not to use acdhostinganddesign.com or you may well end up having your money stolen just like me and the other person who has also filed a report about this ripoff site.
