The person who goes by the ID "buildingc99" is apparently ripping people off.in my case, I bought two Scandisk Memory Drives from him/her for about $100 on July 11. Per his/her request, I quickly sent the money via US Postal Service Money Order. He/she received the money (I have an email confirmation of that dated July 25.) Days went by—I received nothing. I contacted him/her again and was told they would look into the problem (email dated July 28). That was the last I heard.

Now this person has his/her feedback "private, " preventing me from contacting others who were ripped off. (Thanks a lot eBay.) But his/her feedback score is only at 54% and there are 24 negative feedback ratings given to him/her recently. (The feedback was not private and it was not bad when I bought the items in early July.)

Working through the difficult (for buyers) eBay processes, I went through the dispute phase and have filed complaints. IMO, the eBay dispute system favors sellers (who provide their revenue), so despite the obvious problems with "buildingc99, " this user is still listed on eBay.

I have reported this person (persons?) to eBay, the US Postal Service, and to the FBI internet fraud section. Use extreme caution dealing with anyone who wants you to send cash to the stated address or to: Celso Ferreira, 1581 W. 49th Street, # 313, Hialeah, FL 33012, or to Alice Ferreira, Atlanta, Georgia (the address from eBay). Any or all of these names and addresses could be phony or temporary. So use PayPal or other more secure ways of transferring money.

Yes, the theft is relatively small. But if it is happening to many people, the cumulative effect is significant.
