Failed to honor warranty and made slurs against the diabled after I told them I was diabled

When I wanted to buy a pc I went to the local computer store, R&D Computers in Eureka, California. I asked the owner, Ritchie Phillips, Why I would buy a computer from him rather than Staples or Best Buy he said that I would get great service, that he would be easier to deal with than a big company. So I bought a computer from him.

When I got the computer home and was setting it up I noticed that the speakers weren't there. I called him to see if I could come and pick them up and he said that the speakers were in the monitor. When I was in the store looking at the displays they all had speakers hooked to them and the sign said stereo speakers included. When I explained this to Mr. Phillips he said that he would give me some speakers. I just shrugged it off and went on my way.

I was on live messenger with my son Jacob who lives in Nebraska and he told me that if I got a microphone we could talk instead of type. I went to the local Target store and bought a mic and when I went home and plugged it in it didn't work. I went back to Target and explained what happened and got a new mic. I went back home and the new mic didn't work either. I contacted Mr. Phillips and he said to bring it in and he would check it out.

He plugged the mic into one of the display pc's and it worked. He plugs it into my pc and it doesn't work. He says that I would have to leave it with him and that he would try to fix it. He then explains to me that if he fixes it and finds out that it was something I did that he would charge me for the service. I explained to him that I didn't do anything to it and that was disabled and living on social security and couldn't afford to pay. He looked at me and said that I wouldn't get the computer back if I didn't pay.

I took the computer home because I felt that he was going to rip me off. I googled that my mic doesn't work and I found a website that explained that all I needed to do was to access the main volume control panel and click the box marked mic. I did this and the mic worked. I went back the next day to tell him how easy it was and he just laughed and shook his head. No apology or any expression of remorse for his behavior the day before.

I went home thinking that I hope nothing else goes wrong. Of course it did. I was typing on notepad and dozed off. When I woke up the computer had went into standby mode. I never used this before because I always turned my computer off when I was done. I moved the mouse to get the screen back and the screen was filled with diagonal markings and wouldn't respond so I had to reboot and I lost all that I typed before I fell asleep.

I was distraught about it because I knew that when I took it in that he would try to intimidate me again with his charges. I googled the problem and found some sites that explained the problem was a conflict of some kind. I went to a forum about computers and asked what I should do and was told to take it back and have it fixed before the warranty expired.

I went to R&D Computers that day and told Mr. Phillips that the standby mode wasn't working. He said to bring it in the next morning and he would check it out. I brought the computer into his store and set it on the counter. Mr. Phillips then looks at me with this big grin on his face and says "so what sort of problem I was having.

I proceeded to tell him about the standby mode not working and he says that what I should do is just turn the computer off and not use the stand by mode. I said that I bought the computer from him because he said I would get good service and that I think that he should fix it. He said that I was crazy and that he wasn't going to fix it.

I told him that if he wasn't going to honor the warranty and fix the computer that I wanted a refund. He called me crazy and nut so several times and said that he didn't have to do anything and that if I didn't leave that he would call the police and have me arrested. I told him to call them and I waited for them to arrive.

When the police arrived I explained to them what happened and they asked him to refund my money so he writes me a check and hands it to me. He then says that he wants the check back because I didn't have all the equipment.

So now I have to call the police to escort me back into this store so I can get a refund but I think I will go through the court. I don't think I am mentally capable of handling this any further without some assistance. I cannot understand why someone would treat me like this and to make me feel like crap because I am disabled.
