Nuance
Dragon naturally speaking dragon naturally speaking 9.5 and adobe 8.0 ripoff

Adobe 8. O reader and flash player deletes dns 9.5 from my computer. I am running windows vista and got instructions from nuance for how to install dns 9.5. But the first time i installed adobe on my system the first thing it does is delete dns, including all my saved files, from my computer. This has happened 3x.

I called nuance and emailed them and of course had to manuever past having to pay for service, which is unusual - especially since their customer service is not that good to begin with.

Here is their unbelievable answer to my question of what should i do since adobe is deleting their software from my computer and evidently is not compatible with dns - " you should take this issue up with adobe."

That was the nuance response - "i should take this issue up with adobe." glad i didn't pay for such great advice.

I have uninstalled dns from my computer since windows vista has a speech recognition component that ships with their os and is working just fine. I used to swear by nuance but their customer service is the worst in the business and they charge for it on top of that.

I am a writer and every chance i get i announce to my colleagues to not use nuance products. Every chance i get. I used them for 5 years and loved their software but their customer service killed it for me. I have now started telling teachers, librarian and other clerical officers not to use this company but instead to use windows vista's speech recognition. It is better and the customer service is better and free.
