Ripoff very bad customer service

I have order something from them on 5/09, and the send me a confrim email sayint that will be shipped out on 05/24, so i call them to cancell the order, i told them it was too long for me to wait, but they said once you purchase the item you can't cancell and return, even it was not shipped this is unbelievable i can't understand the reason why they can't cancell the order even it haven't been shipped
