I dropped off my Acer Ferrari laptop at LAPTOPS PLUS in Carlsbad after the DC jack broke. After a week of waiting, I picked up my laptop. The salesman tried fairly hard to sell me a new battery while insisting that mine would not hold a charge. (Which it had just before I brought it in to be repaired.) I stiffly declined, paid the $260 and departed.
Upon arriving at home and using the computer, I found that keyboard was hardly respondant and that I had to literally smash keys three or four times to make them input. I also had to shove the DC plug into the jack in order to power the unit.
After buying a new keyboard to make the computer at least tolerable to use, a strange clicking noise began to sound from inside the case and within a week, the computer no longer booted.
Thanks, laptops plus.
