I had heard of all the rebate complaints on Tigerdirect.com, through their subsidiary OnRebate.com. But I had a gift certificate for them and didn't want to waste it, so figured I would test out their rebate policy. I purchased a "TRANSCEND 8GB JETFLASH V10 USB FLASH DRIVE" with a $10 rebate, and submitted it through their OnRebate.com web site. I even selected their "expedited" service where you give up of the rebate to have it approved and sent out quickly.By using the "expedited" feature, the rebate was approved within 4 days, which I thought was great.
After a month passed without the rebate, I contacted their customer service via email to see what the holdup was. After 3 weeks they finally decided to respond to my email saying they would look into it.
Now it has been almost 2 months since it was approved, and still nothing. This is just one more case of the Tigerdirect / OnRebate rebate fraud that is happening in the state of Florida without any legal proceedings taking place. I know my $10 isn't very much, but multiply that by thousands and these slimeballs need to be prosecuted.
