I first noticed these charges when I was reviewing my weekly activities online, when I noticed four $14.95 charges. Immediately I googled the description names to find out where these charges came from. These companies are sneaky; they added numbers and letters at then end of their actual name to make it harder for people to search on them. For example one company was named Privacy Matters and it appeared PRIVACYMATTER096 on my statement. I just deleted the extra numbers and quickly found the company. I called the phone number they had listed (1-888-840-6303) and spoke with Latasha. I told her about my first charge, Privacy Matters, then Passport to fun, then VRewardsUS, then finally Shopping Essentials. She told me that it should take 2-5 business days but I will be refunded the full about. I will say that she did not try to sell me any special offers or promotions and was very nice. The only time I waited was while her computer loaded the information for each of the companies.

So honestly, I probably just hit accept on the Policy right before I finished shopping online.in the fine print was a trial offer for one of these companies. Then because that's the last I hear about it until my trial offer is over and I'm charged the membership fee. I need to pay more attention to cancel these memberships that I don't want anyway. Although I hope that they could change how they do business. If I want to shop from a site I shouldn't be forced to try a membership, it should be an extra button I choose.
