On Rebate AVOID use of OnRebate avoid hassles and headaches they have cause me Ripoff

I purchased some RAM at a National Franchise Computer store and completed the cumbersome process OnRebate requires to file a rebate with them. While the OnRebate process is tricky and annoying, I did receive confirmation of the receipt of my rebate request (June 13) in a timely manner; however it took them two weeks (June 27) to confirm that my rebate was accepted and my payment was pending. I called them the middle of August to inquire about my rebate status and they advised me it could take 8 to 12 weeks from the payment pending date NOT the date they received my rebate request. Ok that's annoying, but fine as long as I get my payment. October 1 rolls around and still no check, my rebate has been in payment pending status since June 27; so I call them and gee whiz they have had system trouble and they will send a request to the accounting department and I should get a check in three weeks... OK it is now October 24 and I still have no check! I called them this morning and I get the same song and dance... You'll get a check in three weeks I'll send a note to the accounting dept, but feel good because at least we are not denying we owe you the money!?? I would not purchase anything from a company that uses OnRebate.com. I've been in payment pending status now for 17 weeks... Let's see if that check comes by week 20... I'm not holding my breath.
