Yahoo
Business fraudelent advertising overbilled credit card Redding Internet

Internet & Web

Yahoo advertises "get a domain name for $2.99 for the first year" I ordered and was billed $9.99 on my credit card not $2.99.

I reported this to yahoo and told them I would be willing to accept another domain name at the $2.99 price and would still pay the $9.99 for the first one. I was replied to as follows... The $2.99 domain name registration is for first time only customers and since I registered a name for $9.99 I did not qualify. They should have said since I was illegally charged and ripped off already, they didn't need anymore of my business.

I wrote an email of complaint, to Yahoo, and the first of 2 respondents from Yahoo had all the wrong information about my account and could not do anything since my card was already billed. The second respondent from Yahoo promised to correct this mistake, but 5 months later, there still has been no correction. I tried to handle this with my bank, but did not want to loose my newly registered domain name, which I already started working on, so I paid it anyway.

Then to add insult to injury, I was emailed two customer service surveys requesting my opinion of how my complaint was handled, which I replied to both, It was not resolved.
