On November 7 my wife and I purchased a large "Hunt Scene" painting and frame on the Internet from this crook. He charged our American Express card for 20% of the total price (including shipping) w/o informing us and with no stated policy advising us on his web site. Painting, already framed, was to be delivered in December. Painting did not arrive in December, did not arrive in January.

The owner, Brian, finally answered my fourth or fifth email in February with an apology saying the painting would be delivered to me in two weeks. Painting did not arrive in February nor in March. I finally got him on the telephone after many, many calls in April. Again he apologized, stated I was his oldest delivery problem, and promised a refund credit on my American Expres card. The credit did not appear on my April, May and June statements. Tonight I filed a merchant complaint with American Express. Tomorrow I will do the same with the appropriate office in PA which may be the Attorney General's office.

Bottom line: this man has no shame. He takes a deposit without a policy advising the purchaser, he fails to make delivery, he avoids phone calls and does not answer emails, and he does not live up to his promise of refunding. Considering the 33 formal compliants against him and his businesss last year, and considering the fact that most unsatisfied purchasers probably do not file complaints, this man should not be in business.
