Worldwide misleading, bad service, failed to ship merchandise as promised, having trouble getting refund, ignores my calls and emails

I ordered a table on Nov. 1 advertised on the website of Martini Interiors (martiniinteriorsworldwide.com) The ad says the item usually ships in 4 to 6 weeks. Within a couple of days of my order my credit card is charged for the item, along with the shipping cost. I wait 6 weeks, no word on the table.

I call and leave messages, I write emails, time goes by and finally I get a response from Martini Interiors that the vendor of the table will be shipping it to them soon and I'll have it by the second week in Jan. 2006. The owner Brian, tells me that his website should say the item takes 6 to 8 weeks to ship. It doesn't say that, it says 4 to 6 weeks. It's not my fault. He says he'll change the website to, "reflect more accurate information". He still hasn't done that. At any rate, I'm happy.

I have an answer. My table will be coming soon. Time passes, still no table. I call and leave messages, I write more emails, more time goes by. No response. I finally get the owner on the phone. He tells me the table is definitely due to be shipped to him in a few days and I'll have it before the end of January. I believe him. I wait. Still no table. More calls and messages left, more emails.

He emails back. Now he says, the table will be shipped to him on Feb. 10 and he'll let me know when he ships it out to me. I don't believe him anymore and cancel the order. I ask for my credit card to be credited the charges, (including shipping) that he placed on it back in early Nov. 2005. He says he'll do that. I never receive any notice of the credit. Several days later I check with my credit card company... You guessed it, no credit issued. I write more emails about getting my account credited. No response.

Now I've had to appeal the charges in writing with my credit card company, take time to make copies of and send in all the emails I sent to Martini Interiors and the few responses I got back, to my credit card company, and use more of my time to sit down and write this email. I waited a long time for my order. Never received it. Now I have to wait to see if the charges for the merchandise never shipped to me, (including shipping) get credited to my account.

I've spent a lot of time dealing with Martini Interiors since placing my order on Nov. 1.in return I received aggravation, frustration, broken promises and charges (including shipping) for an item that I never received. Has Martini Interiors even tried to give an expalnation to any of this? I aksed, but once again, no response. Communication and customer service with this company is quite poor. Use caution if dealing with them!
