I received a 1175 hours free aol disc in the mail & figured I would try aol for 30 days free, not realising that even tho it said they would not bill me, $23.95 unless I decided to stay on after the 30 days. When I noticed the money being automaticly taken out of my checking acc. I notified AOL via the internet & told the I did not want there services, not to bill my checking account. That was oct. 2005. They responded to my e-mail, after serveral attemps, only they kept billing me 28.95. I finilly told my bank to stop them by filling out an affid. So, they stopped, only 2 months ago I noticed AOL has started it up again. I have never ordered AOL and that free disc, they mail out is only a way to get people caught up in their web, never to get rid of them in the long run.
