Promises Gift If You Buy, Once You Do They Disappear Ripoff Internet

Internet & Web

The online firm "YourGiftCards.com" is a fraudulent ripoff artist. They advertise the following but don't provide anything:

"Claim Your Free $50 Gift Card!
Simply complete any sponsored offer and get a $50 Gift Card absolutely FREE! No shipping or handling! Choose from great stores like Sears, Blockbuster, K-Mart, Red Lobster, Linens 'n Things!"

Last November I completed a sponsored offer from them by purchasing a computer training DVD from one of their alleged sponsors, the "Video Professor".in turn, "YourGiftCards.com" was to send me a $50.00 gift card for my selected vendor, the Home Depot. I paid for and received a DVD from the Video Professor.in turn, I received a notice from YourGiftCard.com stating they would provide a gift card based on my confirmed purchase from the Video Professor.

They sent me directions to a personal information portal at their website which alleged that once I completed the validation information they asked for, I would receive approval via e-mail for a gift card within 1 hour. I posted all required information, clicked, and waited. Months have passed and still they haven't send anything.

In the interim, I have written them eight times via e-mail asking for a response, and tried to confirm my card delivery status no less than fifteen times through their website. They post a portal that states it will provide a gift card status. It reads as follows:

Gift Card Status

"Curious to see what is going on with your FREE Gift Card (s)? Log-in and get an update"

I've logged in with a password no less than 15 times since this mess started and have yet to get a response. What's worse is that they list a toll phone number to call for "help". There's one problem: You're put on hold and no one ever answers... Ever. No matter how long you wait. All one can do is run up their phone bill.

Bottom Line: After they get you signed up and obligated, once you keep your side of the bargain, they don't keep theirs. They won't response back via e-mail, they won't answer the "troubleshooting" phone number they post, and they don't list a physical address so you can't even write a paper copy letter to them.

What they do is entice you to commit to a purchase, then won't follow through with their end of the bargain.
