And X - Technology Mistreated by X Technology and ripped off by half.com

I ordered a computer through half.com. The vendor, X Technology arbitrarily changed my order without my permission. I asked them to cancel the order since it was not what I wanted.

Half.com first wrote.
"The seller has asked that you return the item to them. Half.com will issue a refund to your credit card for the total cost of the item. We'll be crediting your credit card with an additional amount to cover your return shipping costs. This amount will be equal to the original shipping cost that you paid when purchasing the item. When the seller confirms that they have received this item we will issue the refund. You should expect to see this credit posted to your credit card account within two weeks of delivery confirmation from the seller."

Half.com then wrote "At Half.com, purchases are made from other Half.com members across the country. Due to the nature of this system, buyers cannot cancel orders once they are placed. All sales are final, except for those cases defined in the Half.com Buyer Protection Policy."

Here is the latest mail from x-technology. What the seller tells you is different than what he tells me. He is dishonest. I will not deal with him.

I have heard from several others that x-technology has molested in one way or another. They sell junk and the service sucks. I want nothing to do with them. Your web, order sectopn page shows a different item than what I want

I suggest that you reign in the ego of D& D - . I will not deal with x-technology under any circumstances.

If the item is shipped, I will not accept it. I am reporting all correspondences with him to American Express, and to various websites, like usacomplaints.com. This will end up costing half.com more than they will make from my transaction. If this is shipped you are looking for trouble.

Once More. CANCEL THE ORDER without recourse!

Now I will publicize how half.com supports sellers who arbitrarily change a customers order without permission and then insists that the changed order cannot be cancelled.
