P. Parana Ripoff Software Piracy - Windows XP

I bought Windows XP Pro from this company's website, www.321electronics. Citymax.com, on 11/14 for $69. The description mentioned that the software can be activated. I further verified with the company whether the software can be activated and supported by Miscrosoft via e-mail - sales@321electronics. Citymax.com. The seller (P. Parana?) answered "Yes" to these questions.

Almost immediately after paying for the software by credit card, I got an e-mail stating that 321 Electronics cannot process my card but can send the item via USPS COD. To which I agreed.

When the item arrived, the package contained a Product Recovery CD-ROM from some company named Coastline Micro. There was another CD with an Activation crack and piece of paper with instructions on how to apply it. I should of realized then that this was a cracked version of software. However, I foolishly decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try to install it and see if I can get support (live updates) from Microsoft. Soon enough I found out that I could neither activate nor get live updates for this software.

I immediately contacted the seller via e-mail requesting a refund. After sending several e-mails, I got a reply asking me to ship the software back to the following address:

Eventually, I got Parana to agree for it to be returned via COD (since I suspected that otherwise it would disappear into the fetid darkness out which scum like Parana emerge). That was another mistake. I spent ~$6 on the COD and it just bounced back to me. It should also be noted that I saved all e-mail correspondence with 321 Electronics and all original packaging and receipts.
