Integretel, ripoff, mis-informed, failed to respond

I don't know how I ever signed up for this business (Email discount Network EDN), but somehow I did. I received an initial bill on my phone bill under Integretel. I had to do a bit more digging to find out the real company.

My wife cancelled the subscription in September and received e-mail confirmation of this with the promise of no more billing. Lo and behold we received another statement this month (November).

I called them and they had a record of a cancellation on the date my wife received her e-mail, but they still billed us for the next month anyway! They now say that they'll refund the mistake.

This whole fiasco would not be so bothersome if EDN could tell me how I registered in the first place! I never received any service nor was I provided with any benefit what-so-ever, not even the e-mail account they say you get according to their website. I was only billed, rather secretively I might add.

To sum things up: I received a bill from my phone company with an extra charge from Integretel. After digging around I found out Integretel received the bill from Email Discount Network. I immediately acted to cancel all activity and find out how I was even signed up for theur service in the first place. The could not answer how I was signed up and supposedly cancelled my accound. Two months later the account was not cancelled and I am going through the cancellation process again.
