Viscom viscom Technology Group Inc ripoff

I bought my V2Premier with a 19" LCD flat panel monitor in September. On September 14, my monitor went black; now when I turn on the computer, the images for starting flash by quickly, don't stay, and then it's black. I called tech support and they said someone would call me with an RMA number to return the monitor to have it repaired.

Microtek called on the 19th with the RMA number; meanwhile I spoke with hardware tech support at Viscom and was told that it didn't sound like the problem was the monitor; I was told it sounded like the problem was the motherboard and video card. So they ordered the parts and on September 28 a tech called to make an appt to install the parts on the 29th.

After installing the parts, the computer STILL did not work. He spoke with a tech at Viscom and told them he could not fix it and gave me the phone. The customer service rep, Edward, told me that they would have to send me shipping labels and I would have to send it in for diagnostic tests and repair. That was last Thursday, September 29 and today is Friday, October 7 and I have still not received the labels! I called and they said they were mailed Monday... Why such a long delay? They also told me that when I do send it in that my whole hard drive will be completely erased! I am NOT happy about that; I have back up for most of it but not for the last month before it crashed!

My original warranty was until September 27 so they said this would all be covered. Listen to the presentation on Shop NBC! They make it sound like they will come to YOUR HOME and fix any problems within a few days! Not true! You've got to figure out yourself what the problem is and guess if you are not a computer expert! I went out tonight and bought a new Compaq and have now discovered that it is definitely the monitor since if does the same thing as the V2Premier... Flashes and then goes blank.

So now, at my expense, I have to have the monitor packed and shipped to Microtek in CA. More money!!
