Thumbdrive Rebate Ripoff Failed to pay on perfectly valid $15 rebate for 512 MB USB 2.0 thumbdrive

As a number of others have already noted on this site, Memorex denied a perfectly well documented rebate application for $15 refund on their 512 MB thumbdrive. Their denial came via a form letter saying that certain documentation was missing and that if I wanted to appeal I could do within 2 weeks. I was absolutely sure that I included the rebate form, properly filled out, plus the store receipt that listed the drive by name and the UPC, all as stipulated in the offer. I am extremely thorough about making sure all documenation is proper and I sent it in well within the time frame allowed. So there is no way my submission failed to meet the requirements.

Recognizing this to be a conscious, deliberate effort to deny payment for no reason, I did not bother to appeal. But I will NEVER buy a Memorex product again and I have told all my friends about what happened. If some lawyer wants to start a class action suit, I am game to jump in. To save $15 they have damaged their brand reputation immensely.
