Rebate ripoff

Here is the quoted text of several email exchages, up until a few minutes ago. They are all in reverse order, current to first, descending *

I have just received this email from you. (06/09 — 10:16 MST) It tells me that my rebate has been "Accepted" and it will take 6 -8 weeks to arrive. (message quoted in full next below.)

Your new status is: ACCEPT

You should receive your check in 6-8 weeks.

That is unacceptable.

When I bought the item from Tiger Direct, the promotion said it would take 4-6 weeks to get the rebate. I have the electronic email from you with a date of 05/01. That email is here quoted, next below:
