Cox Communications
Ripoff Fraudulnt internet billing

Internet & Web

My bill was $185. I went to make a payment online and only authorized a payment of $100.instead, they took the full $185 out of my bank account. I did not authorize that amount and they have no record that I only authorized a $100 payment. To return the money to my account, they are going to take 8-10 business days. On top of that, it overdrafted my bank account. Now why would I authorize a payment that would overdraft my bank account? I wouldn't! I've had many problems with their customer service, such as hanging up on me, being rude, not knowing anything or accusing me of not knowing anything about computers when that is what I went to college for.

This time, I was transferred 3 times, explained the situation 3 times and was hung up on. Only to have to call back and explain everything again. The agent I finally got on the phone was so absurdly dense. I explained the problem and then he went into a spiel that he gives every customer reminding me about the many options for paying my bill such as automatic bank transfer and... Get this... internet payment!!! I wanted to crack my head open.
