Bank card fraud $3000! Over a year and a half. Unknown

Internet & Web

Well, first off, I'm in the military and stationed overseas. That may be the true root of my problem. Because of my location, I don't always get my bank statements.

Well I finally got around to getting the online portion of my bank set up, and noticed a couple of shady charges.

After a little looking at online bank statements for the past year and a half, I noticed the charges were recurring and happened off and on ever month. The amounts were varying, but ranged from around $32 up to $106. I remember visiting this site, but would have never agreed to ANYTHING that cost money on it. And the worst part, is that the site isn't really an all porno site.

There's info on there about any subject you could think of, but now my bank looks at me like I'm some freakin pervert. I called the company and they said that I had joined several groups of private chat hosts who can charge whatever they want and change whatever rules they want... What?!?! I never joined anything.

Well, my bank said it could probably cover me for the last 60 days (around $300) and the company said they would for 120 (should be around $600), but that's a small sum compared to the $3000 that they've taken from me over the past year and a half. It's hard to believe that there isn't someway to set right things damaged by such shady business practices.
