This company does not carry out fair business practices. I tried on several occasions to cancel my membership, and was kept on hold for over thirty-minutes at a time. I became tired from so many unsuccessful attempts, so I tried to e-mail my cancellation request. I never received confirmation.in the meantime, my credit card had received another charge from stamps.com.

Finally, I got in touch with a customer service rep, and was able to cancel the membership. When I asked to receive credit for the latest charge on my credit card, I was told that they could not accommodate my request, because it was a valid charge that took place before my cancellation request.

I explained that I had made several attempts, but was unable to get through. I expressed that if the company requires customers to phone-in cancellations, that they should provide a more efficient means to do so. Next, I was told that the billing cycle ends ten days before the card is charged, so technically, I had already incurred close to another month of a billing cycle. As a courtesy, stamps.com waived my current charges, which was ending a week later.

I never used this service, and attempted to cancel immediately after receiving the first charge on my credit card. Apparently, this company utilizes a deceitful practice of charging customers when they are under the assumption that it is a trial membership.

If you are desperate enough to do business with this company, (which charges $15.99 for the same services that USPS offers free of charge) I suggest that you cancel your trial membership a week after signing up if you realize that you do not need the service.
