"phantom" rebates ripoffs

On 11/18/01 I sent for a $30 rebate to CompUSA Rebate Center (PO BOX 821, Rochelle, NY). On 1/30/02, after waiting more than 8 weeks, I called them on 1-800-390-2344. The person on the phone apologized and asked me to resubmit my request directly to him (Rebate Resolution Center). As of today, 3 weeks later, they still claim they did not receive anything in the e-mail. Taking the time I spent on this and multiplying it by a minimum wage it is worth more than $30. From now on I stop buying anything from CompUSA.
