In 12-04 i added an ecommerce store to my existing hosting package. Once the store was loaded it seemed like it was down every other time i logged in to it. I contacted them on several occasions to find out why and get the same answer every time as posted in the title of this report. When asking what the problem and do you have redundancy on your network you get: i don't have access to that information.
After going through this every other day or so and loosing money by the store and email (all email for my all business employees) being down i came to realize that i had to change providers. I did so and requested a refund due to the fact that i was totally unsatisfied with their service and support. I was sent a response that i could not get a refund because i had been a customer for more than 30 days. I told them i would be happy with just a refund for the time i had not used but had paid for. They required one year payment for the upgrade to the ecommerce package. I got the same automated response that i could not get a refund because i had been a customer for more than 30 days.
Be careful when choosing a hosting provider for critical sites.in this case i paid for the hosting twice and the cheaper solution (globat.com) cost me double not counting lost business and the aggravation of all the downtime.
