SurplusAlert.com Aka Auction Freeway Bait & Switch Ripoff! Highjacked Credit Card! Pleasant Valley, Utah

I got an email from Auction Freeway offering a free CD of on-line auction secrets. I had to pay $4.95 S&H. I did by Credit Card. They suggested I check out SurplusAlert.com for wholesale products. I clicked the link. I found out by a phone call on my answering machine at home that they were going to charge my Credit Card $29.95 for the first month of a subscription to their service, a service I never subscribed to. They highjacked my Credit Card info from Auction Freeway, a company they also own. It's a scam to get your credit card info.

I tried to cancel by email and was told (by email) I had to write a letter to their Utah office to cancel. All this was happening within 14 days of Dec. 31, the date they were going to charge my credit card. I immediately called my credit card company. They are not going to hold me liable for the $29.95. The Auction Freeway CD came 3-weeks from the day I ordered it. The information was from totally outdated and mostly useless. I trashed it.
