Threatening to destroy my credit among other things

From approximately 11/1/04 thru 11/4/06, my computer was infected with multiple viruses, worms, trojans, dial-ups, etc. This caused pop-up windows to appear with questionable billing methods or terms of service which I would immediately "try" to close. But these pop-up windows would not close, so I had to reboot and start all over again. I tried eliminating all the suspect files in all the Windows Folders, but the problem persisted.

About a week later, I received a bill for $30 from Premier Premium Communications for a 6-minute call to the U.K. I wrote a letter to their Bedford, NH address disputing the charges.

I claimed that I did not, nor did anyone else, (intentionally or otherwise), dial (via internet) a U.K. Phone number. Nor was was the site ever accessed, viewed, or seen in any way, shape, or form. Nor was it anyone's intent to do so.

I had a friend "wipe" my computer clean and reinstall my software, fixing my virus problem. Then a few days later I get another bill, this one for $35 for a 7-minute call to the same U.K. Phone number, and dated a few days before my friend fixed the virus problem.

This time I email them at www.premierpremium.com telling them that I never called the number, nor did anyone else, nor was it anyone's intent to do so.

The next time I get online, I got a reply from them. They claim I'm liable in the same manner a parent liable if a child dials a 900#, that they would send a collection agancy after to get their money if not paid in timely manner, and that my credit may, or would be in jeopardy.

In my reply to this, I claimed I would get a lawyer and take the issue to court if necessary. I have yet to do this, for I have not heard from them since. I'm hoping that there is some way that a class-action lawsuit can be filed against this company and have them put out of business for their deceiptful billing practices.
